Anxiety Counseling
Anxiety: like a built in alarm system that kicks in when we’re stressed. Not all anxiety is bad. Some anxiety can even be helpful to prepare/alert of of danger. But when anxiety is persistent and feeling out of control, it can indicate the presence of an anxiety disorder.
Anxiety can be an internal process where we overemphasize the threat(s). It can show up in many different ways. It can mess with our internal thoughts and see threat everywhere. Mentally, it can feel like a never-ending worry loop playing in our heads, and physically it can produce very unpleasant sensations. Anxiety can involve: sleepless nights, struggle with social interactions, hinder productivity, and more.
Good news—anxiety is treatable and there is hope! There are all sorts of ways to tackle anxiety to feel more at peace and grounded.
